Cherie Lynn Marie Eckhardt (Voigt)
Cherie Lynn Marie Eckhardt (Voigt) went to be with the Lord April 21, 2007 at her home in Auburn. She was born Cherie Lynn Voigt July 11, 1966. A loving wife, mother, daughter and granddaughter.
Cherie Lynn was a Kelseyville High School graduate, class of 1984 and Healds Business College, class of 1986.
She was employed by the Auburn School District as a special needs aide. She enjoyed working with the children and loved going on field trips with them and seeing the excitement on their faces. Children were very important in her life. She also loved cooking, stamping, shopping and going to the Shark”s games in San Jose. Cherie Lynn will be especially remembered for her warm smile, kind heart and the love of life and children around her.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 21 years, Roland John Eckhardt; son, Michael; daughter, Kaylee Nicole; parents, Wayne and Shirley Voigt; grandparents, Clarence and Clara Mendes and Maurice Voigt; aunt and uncle, Loraine and Jon Patton; and foster sister, Terri Bertrem.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Emilie Voigt.
A rosary was held at Chapel of the Lakes on Friday, April 27, 2007 and funeral services on Saturday, April 28, 2007 at St. Peters in Kelseyville. Rev. Ismael Mora officiated.
A Celebration of Cherie Lynn”s Life was held following the Catholic Services at Rancho De La Fuente in Lakeport.
On Monday, April 30, Cherie Lynn was put to rest in the Kelseyville Cemetery, officiated by Father Philip Ryan.
