Viola Crabtree passed away on June 20, 2007 at her son”s residence in Fairfield. One of eleven children, she was born on Jan. 31, 1918 in Wapanucka, Okla. She married her husband, Lloyd R. Crabtree on Dec. 25, 1937 and was married for 52 years. Viola worked as a Supervisory Dietician at the Moraga Convalescent home and retired in January of 1980, when she and her husband moved to Clearlake. Due to declining health, Viola lived with her daughter Eva and son-in-law, Bob, in Clearlake Park from 2002 until February of 2007, then spent her remaining days in the loving care of her son Rex and daughter-in-law, Viki, in Fairfield. While living in Clearlake, she was a long time member of the Clearlake Church of Christ. A very talented woman, Viola was an artist and a gardener. She grew beautiful roses, loved to draw and make dolls. She will be remembered for her famous banana nut bread and homemade candy.

Viola is survived by her sons, Rex (Viki), Philip (Linda), and Jim, all of Fairfield; and her daughter, Eva Paschall (Bob) of Clearlake Park. She also leaves behind many grandchildren and many more great-grandchildren.

Services for Viola Crabtree will be held on Monday, June 25 at Jones and Lewis Clear Lake Memorial Chapel, 16140 Main St. in Lower Lake. A visiting period will begin at 10 a.m. and the funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be private at Oakmont Cemetery in Lafayette. Family requests any donations be made to the American Heart Association or the Arthritis Foundation.
