EDITOR”S NOTE Brian Sumpter, who has 23 years of service at the Record-Bee”s Sports Desk, has been out of the office and remains on vacation until next week. Sumpter is scheduled to return to his duties Monday, July 2.
In the interim period, Managing Editor Rick Kennedy has been overseeing the Sports Section, and will continue sitting in for Sumpter through Saturday”s edition.
