Friday, July 13 and Sat. July 14, starting at 7 p.m. each night, Lake County Fairgrounds at 401 Martin Street in Lakeport. Events include the crowning of Miss Lake County Rodeo Queen, introduction of the “Cutest Lil” Cowpoke” contest winners, a performance by the Clearlake Junior Horsemen Drill Team, Mutton Bustin”, and an invitational Jr. Barrel Race exhibition. Cost is $8 for adults, $6 for senior citizens 60 and over, and $4 for children ages seven to 12 years. The rodeo lasts two nights, and each night there will be Cowchip Bingo with a chance to win a $500 prize. Saturday July 14th there will be a performance by the Clearlake Junior Horsemen Drill team, local team roping, Mutton Bustin”, invitational Jr. Barrel Race exhibition, raffle winners will be drawn, and after the events, a rodeo dance at 9:00 p.m. free with a Saturday rodeo ticket, or $6 if you just want to attend the dance. Performing will be Lou Derr and Bootleg Band, located in the Little Theater building.
