KINGSPORT, Tenn. — Former Kelseyville High School baseball star Ray Silva recorded his first professional save in the Johnson City Cardinals” 4-2 road win over the Kingsport Mets on Tuesday night in Appalachian League action.

Silva inherited a 4-1 lead in the bottom of the ninth inning and allowed one run and one hit.

In five appearances for the Cardinals, Silva has pitched 4 2/3 innings and allowed three runs for a 5.79 ERA.

Paige Dumont

WILLIAMSPORT, PA — Former Clear Lake High School and Sonoma State University baseball star Paige Dumont is 2-0 with a 3.32 ERA through his first nine appearances for the Willamsport Crosscutters in the New York-Penn League.

Williamsport is a Class A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies.

In 19 innings of work, Dumont has allowed only 15 hits and seven earned runs, struck out 19 and walked only five.
