Rose Marie Mead, age 72, passed away July 8, 2007 at Evergreen Lakeport Healthcare. She was born Feb. 20, 1935 in Fortuna, and was a seven-year resident of Lake County, and former resident of Santa Rosa.

Rose was a member of the Kelseyville Presbyterian Church, American Rabbit Breeders Association, Lake County Democratic Club, Retired Public Employees, and 4-H Rabbit Leader of Sonoma County. She was also an avid cross-stitcher.

Rose is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, George E. Mead, Jr. of Kelseyville; daughter, Melissa L. Howze and husband Dan of Redwood Valley; son, James Howard and wife Dawna of Lakeport; daughter, Jan Hoelscher and husband Chris of Blue Springs, MO; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathryn Rose Mead.

Memorial Services will be held at the Kelseyville Presbyterian Church on Thursday, July 26, at 11 a.m. with Reverend Steve Nesheim officiating. Donations may be made to Lake County 4-H.
