William Henry Cox, 65, passed away at The Queen of the Valley Hospital on July 16, after a long battle with cancer. He was born on July 10, 1942 in Albany, California to Bill and Dorothy Zook. He graduated from Albany High School in 1960.

He worked as an operating engineer for 38 years and loved the outdoors. He was an accomplished hunter and fisherman.

William was a dedicated family man who loved his wife, children and especially his grandchildren. All of whom will miss him dearly.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Shirley, children Don Cox, Bobby (Donna) Cox, Michele Wallace, Robert Crain and Theresa (William) Horwath, and 9 grandchildren.

A memorial service in his honor will be held on Monday August 6, at 1:00pm in the chapel of Richard Pierce Funeral Service, 1660 Silverado Trail, Napa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1031 Jefferson St. Napa, CA 94559. Condolences may be sent to the family on-line at WWW.RPFSC.COM.
