Irene Foster Roberts passed away peacefully at home on July 21, 2007. She was born in San Francisco on Nov. 23, 1928 to Francis and Laura Foster. One of six children, she lived her early years in the San Francisco area.
In the late 50s, she moved to Hawaii with her husband Ken. There they worked and played as they raised their seven children. In 1984 they moved to the Cobb Mountain area of Lake County where she continued her life as a wife, homemaker, and beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother to 54 children whom she nurtured and loved.
She is survived by, and will always be remembered by, her husband of 50 years, Kenneth Roberts; children, Larry Roberts (Diana), Beverly Richardson (Jim), Dona Laird (Richard), Roger (Maria), Mark (Angie), Greg (Barb), and David (Michelle) Roberts and their families; brother, Frank Foster (Gloria); sisters, Bev Larson (Terry), and Diane Marcroft, (Lynn); and many of her loving friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father, brother Stephen and sister Joy.
Her sweet smile and gentle spirit will linger in the hearts of those who were blessed enough to have known her.
