Dolores S. Woodburn Passed away peacefully in the presence of her daughter and friends at her home on July 30, 2007 after a courageous fight with cancer.

She was born in Perham, Minn., Aug. 2, 1922 to the late Frank and Laura Weis. She was the devoted wife to Kendall Woodburn, who passed on in 1996. Loving Mother to Patricia (Jim) Offenbach of San Francisco and James (Sherrie) Woodburn of Colorado. She loved all of her grandchildren: Justin and Summer Offenbach, Jonni and Keith Michelucci, Sarah Offenbach, Shannon and Tom Brady, Marnie and Bryan Des Marteau, Conor, Megan and Keara Woodburn. She was so proud of her great-grandchildren: Nicolas and Kaitlin Michelucci, Trevor and Ashlyn Brady, Katelyn and Ethan Des Marteau. She leaves behind her loving sisters Bernice Valintis, Dots Haremza, Rosie (Clete) Thayer, and sister-in-law Agnes Weis.

She was preceded in death by her brother, John Weis and brothers-in-law, Anton Valintis and Wayne Haremza.

Dolores grew up in Minnesota and moved to Chicago, Ill., and met her husband Kendall, where they raised their children; then moved to California in 1971, where she worked as an executive secretary for many years before retiring and enjoying entertaining family and friends along with her bridge clubs.

Dolores was an amazingly generous, selfless, energetic, extremely grateful, loving person. She will be missed by all who knew her and were lucky enough to be touched by her graciousness. Her beautiful spirit will live on within those who knew and loved her.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11 at St. Mary”s Catholic Church, 801 N. Main St., Lakeport, CA.
