As I enter my so called ?golden years” in our land of the free and the brave, I find more bravery on my part is needed. I find a growing fear of becoming ill or injured and facing the medical bills that are sure to follow.
I fret over losing the home I worked so many years to buy, to pay for medical services and prescription drugs, and have recently started to question how my country will stand by me as I become no longer so useful to it. It was refreshing to see Fahrenheit 911 and Sicko at our local theatre.
At the end of each of these films the audience applauded heartily, I knew they felt the same as I do. I believe for that time in the theatre we all felt united and ready to take some action, but then just went home as usual. We need some changes in our country; we need people like Michael Moore to help us find the courage and energy to speak out. Thank you.
