Alice died June 18, 2007 in Tacoma, Wash., with her family present at the home of her daughter, Tone Bray. She was two weeks shy of her 84th birthday.
Surviving Alice are her children Grant Hosford, Tone Bray, Kathy Gunter and William Hosford; eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren, and her second husband, John Giacomtni who resides in Eureka.
She was preceded in death by her first husband of 61 years, Grant, and their youngest child, Robert.
Alice will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at the family plot in Yreka. She requested that no flowers be sent. Instead, donations can be made to the Mendocino Coast Hospital [MCFH], 700 River Drive, Ft. Bragg, Ca., 95437. Alice retired from this hospital as head bookkeeper and was a member of the Women”s Auxiliary.
