I take exception to Mr. Knight”s recent comments about “the opening of the deer hunting season brings with it the inevitable problem of poaching.” Poaching is a year round crime.
Poachers are criminals who may indeed use the season as a cover for their crimes.
Mr. Knight”s statement is seen by myself and others in the hunting community as a blanket statement that hunters are poaching. We detest criminal actions such as the killing and wanton waste of meat. Hunters were the ones to bring this to the DFG”s attention.
