HIDDEN VALLEY LAKE — The 9ers Men”s Golf Club held its annual Ed Saunders Memorial Irons Only Tournament on July 26 at Hidden Valley Lake Golf Course.
Net flight results were as follows:
First flight — Jim Stratton, 33; Tom Gibbs, 34; Bob Brossier and Cliff Hughes, 35 (tie).
Second flight — Jay Hodges, 33; Bill Helt and Jim Hodges, 35 (tie).
Third flight — Tom Sowell, 33; Doug Carter and Pete Gumina, 34 (tie).
Fourth flight — Mill Garrett, 32; Colin Wilson, 35; Byron Hoss and Bill Lyon, 37 (tie).
Closest-to-the-pin winners were Ron Martinez and Jay Hodges. Helt and Ralph Fowler had chip-ins.
