In 1943, my parents purchased three lots in Loch Lomond subdivision for the Prather Family. By 1948 with the help of family and friends, our summer home was completed.
My sister and I spent our childhood summers at Loch Lomond. Now, my children and grandchildren have enjoyed their summers and some winter time there.
Loch Lomond has always been a family resort area. Over the years, we have seen Hoberg”s, Adam Springs, Siegler Springs & Forest Lake Resorts close, but our Loch Lomond has remained as a resort area for family and friends to enjoy their summers. We are one of the last resorts on Cobb Mountain.
The proposed Black Oak Village does not fit into our community and would totally change the quiet resort area we now enjoy.
