I recently read the article in the Record-Bee about the cancellation of a bass tournament being held on Clear Lake. I would like to express my gratitude and support for our local game wardens and to Terry Knight for his support of our wardens.
I am fortunate to call Warden Shrimek and Warden Maki my friends. They are two dedicated game wardens that protect our environment. Not only do they work in the field, they have come to the schools where I have worked to help students.
They are involved in the “Every Fifteen Minutes” program in Lake County High Schools, career day at Coyote Valley Elementary, canine demonstrations at various schools.
If canceling a bass tournament was deemed necessary by Warden Shrimek, I am support her one hundred percent. Again, I would like to express my thanks to our game wardens. If you see them at work you should thank them and tell them how much you appreciate what they do.
