LAKEPORT — The annual Lake County Football Scrimmage, featuring all of the county”s junior varsity and varsity football teams, takes place Friday beginning at 4:30 p.m. at Clear Lake High School in Lakeport. The scrimmage is expected to last until approximately 8:30 p.m.

It”s a round-robin format, so each team will go head to head with every other team in the county during the event.

The admission fee is $6 for adults and $4 for children, which includes dinner.

Three of the county”s varsity teams have new head coaches this season, so there figures to be plenty to see.

The 2007 high school season officially opens Sept. 7, when Clear Lake hosts Pierce, Kelseyville hosts Healdsburg, Middletown hosts Salesian, Upper Lake travels to Potter Valley and Lower Lake plays at John Swett.
