LAKEPORT — The Clear Lake Cardinals scored more than half of their points with Briana Butcher standing at the service line Thursday night as they beat Kelseyville 25-7, 25-13 in a non-league junior varsity volleyball match at Lakeport.
Butcher piled up 26 points as the Cardinals swept their county rivals in the minimum two games.
“The girls were really focused tonight,” Clear Lake coach Julie Reynolds said.
Reynolds also cited the play of her two setters, Kura Brice and Morgan McFarlane, as being instrumental in the win.
“They were outstanding tonight,” Reynolds said.
