Calling all artists, would you like to see your work on display in the community?
The Lake County Arts Council staff will be accepting work from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, in the lobby of the Lake County Courthouse for the council”s “Art in Public Places” program. Artwork may include oils, acrylics, photographs and mixed media, all of which have been securely prepared for hanging. The LCAC can only accept artwork that can hang.
There is a $1 hanging fee for each piece that is entered. There is also a 20-percent commission paid to the LCAC by members and $30 by non-members should any work be sold. Work may be for sale or just for show. Membership in LCAC is not required but it encourages those interested to become members and financial supporters.
After volunteers have hung the artwork, a master list of locations and pieces will be available at the Main Street Gallery.
