We who live in mobile homes in Lake County wish to thank the Board of Supervisors for passing unanimously a Conversion Ordinance. This ordinance will help to protect those who live in mobile home parks threatened by the rising land prices and the increasing pace of development in this county. It clarifies existing law to make plain the responsibilities and obligations incumbent on those wishing to profit from those conditions.
At the same time, it protects some of the poorest, elderly, and most vulnerable of our citizens, preserves relatively inexpensive housing, and says that fairness to all is part of the cost of doing business in our county. Thank you, Board of Supervisors.
