I have made numerous false assumptions lately of our country”s leadership. For starters, I assumed the Attorney General to be a law abiding individual of the highest integrity. I also assumed that a democracy is a government by the people and for the people. Webster”s Dictionary defines it as a rule of the majority. A third assumption is that all the President”s Cabinet appointees are people of honor.
Since our current president ignores anyone and everyone that does not fully support his personal agenda, it appears he is acting more like a dictator than a president of a democracy. What a pathetic role model of a democracy that Bush is attempting to force down on Iraq. At least a dozen of his appointees have been accused of breaking the law and/or violations of our constitutions. All are very shady characters.
I understand why impeachment of Bush and Cheney would serve no purpose at this point in time. True justice would be to prosecute both upon their term expirations for their barrage of lies to all of us. Lies that have cost us almost 4,000 of our loved ones, tens of thousands injured and maimed for life. And if this senseless oil war continues for another two years, probably more Iraq civilians will die during this war than under Sadaam.
Can any of the presidential candidates restore honesty in the White House, and focus on all of our major domestic problems before it is too late? It”s your decision voters.
