KELSEYVILLE — Kevin Burt rushed for 155 yards and four touchdowns and Jaime Lopez added 114 yards and a touchdown as the Clear Lake Cardinals improved to 2-0 on the season with a 48-12 win over the Kelseyville Knights in a North Central League I interlock junior varsity football game on Friday night in Kelseyville.
Clear Lake quarterback Ryan Richardson completed 7 of 9 passes for 167 yards.
The Cardinals” defense also came up big, forcing seven turnovers. Lopez, Marco Rodriguez and Ryan Lunas picked off passes and Rodriguez, Aaron Adams, Derek Larson and Vincent McIntosh recovered fumbles.
Leading tacklers for Clear Lake were Lopez, Lunas and Tony Silva. Seth Glazier had a sack.
Clear Lake travels to Willits and Kelseyville (0-2) visits St. Helena on Friday night at 5:30 p.m.
