In response to the school not allowing the football players to wear their jerseys if there is more than four of them in a group is absolutely ridiculous. These boys are all friends, and they wear their purple and gold jersey”s on Friday because they are proud that they are apart of a team; as should the school. I always though that the school was supposed to support the students. Maybe it is not the school”s activity but nonetheless it is an activity to show them that you are as proud as the rest of the community.

These boys do work hard, and I say let them be boys, wear their jersey”s, and hang out with their football buddies. They have done nothing wrong except be boys. That is all they want. One day a week, they want to wear their purple and gold and hang out with their football buddies. You have no right to try and take that from them. I think that the school board has gone too far with this. Maybe, if they really wanted to be right, they would let the community vote on it. I mean, what”s next? The cheerleaders? The band? Or how about the Boy Scouts?

The school need to open their eyes and see what these remarkable young boys do. They bring the community together as we watch them succeed at something they all like doing.

I support my boys and the team; so why can”t our school support them and be proud. They want to make something out of nothing. Let them wear purple and gold. Go Vikings! Be proud boys that you are doing great and keep it up.
