Oh, people say “There he goes again.” Mr. O.J. Simpson wasn”t riding in a white bronco this time or riding a white steed. What was he “thinking.” Do law enforcement representatives only reserve the right to make “Stings?” We know the charges against Mr. Simpson and indeed they are grave, but yet to be proved. He and his group have been charged with felonies while attempting to take his memorabilia. Included are charges of kidnapping and use of gun or guns that were apparently pointed and “Locked and loaded”.
Even though we all know some of the infamy that “clouds” Mr. Simpson”s reputation shouldn”t we refrain from “Trying him” outside the courts. I do appreciate our Bill of Rights and especially love our freedom of speech. I was in South Africa during Apartheid and know how awful it was that some groups were denied rights.
But what would be fair about “getting him” this time because prosecutors were not successful in convicting him for murder many years ago. Some people in the community and also some of my friends feel that Mr. Simpson got away with murder and should be “put away” this time.
Please lets wait until all the facts are in. Mr. Simpson should be given a fair trial in our courts, and allow the courts to do the job and either convict or acquit Mr. Simpson.
