It is sad that the name attached to such a peaceful and close knit community is still being raged against 150 plus years later. The residents of Kelseyville (Of which, Mr. Duncan is not.) are well aware of the shame behind the name. However, they have worked hard to present the town as a caring and hospitable place for every one, which it is.
A symbolic ceremony and/or marker to discredit the man may be appropriate. After over 150 years there comes a time to forgive and heal. That or do something really symbolic for all tribes by having Andrew Jackson removed from the $20 dollar bill. Now, there was an Indian killer.
