After watching the tow truck pull that beautiful red convertible out of the lake this Monday morning at the end of Park Drive boat launch, I wonder why there is no warning sign at the top of the ramp?
It could say “Road Ends Here” or “Warning ? Boat Ramp.” I noticed that there is a metal post at the top of the ramp, but no sign on it, so all we need is a wood sign attached to this post.
In any event, cheers to the fireman from Kelseyville who had to attach the cable to the car. Although he had a wet suit on, he had to go down in the water and muck to hook the cable to the frame. It must have been quite unpleasant, for when they pulled the car up, the hood was full of mud.
Since you cannot see the ramp until you are right up to it ? especially at night ? I hope the county puts up a warning sign, especially for visitors who are unaware of the boat launch.
