Should school be a carnival or three-ring circus?

Please extend my apologies to those who enjoyed seeing a principal in “drag”, and took exception to my criticism. Heaven forbid that I should ruin anyone”s fun ? humor is also, it seems in the eye of the beholder.

And I don”t know where I got this ridiculous notion that schools are for education, and children should have such a love of learning that they should not have to be bribed to achieve scholastic distinctions.

However, don”t stop now. Turn the whole school ground into a carnival or better yet, hire Barum and Bailey and turn the whole community into a three-ring circus. Then our thinking process will be dulled even further. The children would certainly enjoy that, and probably most of the administrators.

Fiddle, play, dress up”, have fun while half the world burns, and our infrastructure falls slowly and inexorably apart. It worked for the late Roman Emperors, and is one of the reasons we have a half-illiterate President in the Oval Office now.
