The South Lake County Fire Protection district will boast five new faces, bringing the total number of paid, call firefighters to 27.
A celebration will be held to welcome the five men to the department during the October board meeting at Middletown Fire Station on October 17 at 7 p.m.
Fire Marshal, Capt. David Miinch said “All of these individuals have proven to me to be real go-getters and team players. I”m excited about working with each and every one of them as time goes on. I am also anxious to see where their training and experience may lead them, whether it be further into the fire service or related field or just serving their community in such a noble profession as a firefighter.”
