MIDDLETOWN — A collision occurred on Wednesday at approximately 2:40 p.m. between a truck and a motorcycle at the junction of Highway 29 and Highway 175, resulting in minor injuries to the motorcycle rider, according to preliminary investigation reports from California Highway Patrol.
A 2002 Ford Ranger was traveling southbound on Highway 29 and began to make a left turn directly in front of a 2007 Honda Motorcycle. The driver failed to see the motorcycle approaching, according to CHP officer Adam Garcia.
“The motorcycle rider took evasive action and consequently laid the motorcycle down onto its side and slid under the Ford,” Garcia wrote in a press release.
The rider of the motorcycle was transported by ambulance to Redbud Hospital with minor injuries. The names of the drivers were not available as of press time Wednesday.
