Who pays to change a town”s name?
Changing ?Kelseyville” to a different name carries some significant costs. Publications, maps, address books, computer software, web sites, signs, etc. would need to be modified. Perhaps legislation needs to be introduced that requires those who propose changes such as this be responsible for some or all of the costs if the change is successful.
