Saturday, October 13th at the Annual Autumn 5000 fundraiser for the Lakeport Regional Chamber of Commerce will bring 200 ticket holders a prize worth a value of no less than $75. Each year this event held at Kathy Fowler Chevrolet, guarantees all of the 200 ticket purchasers a prize worth a minimum of $75 and they could be the holder of the last ticket drawn for the evening which is worth $5000 cash!

A dinner ticket for two people costs $145 which includes a delicious dinner plus the excitement of the evening as all the attendees find out which of the two hundred prizes they will win. The evening begins at 5:30, dinner is served at 6:30 and the ticket drawing begins at 7:30 sharp. A team comprised of Emcee Kenny Parlet, assisted by Kathy Fowler and Armand Pauly pull all the winning numbers in less than one hour and 15 minutes. The final number drawn will walk away with the $5000 cash prize sponsored by Robinson Rancheria Resort & Casino. Also, 200 chances at $150 each are being sold to win a 2008 Pontiac Solstice. The winning ticket will be drawn on Saturday for this great prize. With 200 prizes on the board, it”s impossible to list them all states chamber president Anna Girod, but some exciting examples are: A Discovery Flight with Solo Flight School :

The winner of this prize becomes student for a day at Solo Flight School . A Certified Flight Instructor will kick off the lesson by explaining the basics of aerodynamics. Then they”ll head out to the airplane and do a pre-flight. A pre-flight is a procedure all pilots do before every flight to determine a plane”s airworthiness. The student then climbs into the pilot seat and takes control of the airplane. Together, they taxi to the runway, and the instructor teaches the student how to takeoff. Once the plane is airborne, the instructor guides the student through a series of maneuvers in the air. The student learns how to control altitude, fly to a heading, and execute turns. Finally, under the careful guidance of the instructor, the student lands the airplane back at Lampson Field. Students receive a log book and photos of this great experience which has a value of over $230. Several prize squares contain either $75 or $100 cash prizes. In addition to list a few of the other prizes, there are stays at beautiful lodging facilities such as the Inn at Kelsey Creek on Cobb, Lakeport English Inn, The Tallman Hotel, Konocti Harbor Resort & Spa, Edgewater Resort and Ferndale Resort (to name a few); dinner and golf at Rob Roy Golf Club on Cobb; meat packages from Lakeview Market; a Wine and Chocolate basket; $1000 radio marketing from Bicoastal Media; a beautiful custom Mica Lamp from Clayton Creek Studios; cases of wine from several Lake County wineries; a 4night/5 day cruise; massage packages from Sutter Lakeside Wellness Center and a huge number of gift certificates from very generous Lake County businesses.
