MIDDLETOWN — Cutting their service errors to a season-low eight, the Lower Lake Trojans swept the Middletown Mustangs 25-15, 25-20, 25-23 in a North Central League I North varsity volleyball match on Tuesday night in Middletown.
Renita Gilliam powered the Trojans (3-1) up front with six kills and seven blocks.
Kayla Wood led Middletown with seven kills and Kelsey Guzman had five kills and five aces.

Cloverdale def. Upper Lake in three games
At Cloverdale, in a battle of winless NCL I South teams, the Cloverdale Eagles beat the Upper Lake Cougars 25-14, 25-23, 25-21.
Rebecca Grupe”s 10 kills powered Upper Lake (0-4).
St. Helena def. Clear Lake in three games
At St. Helena, the St. Helena Saints made quick work of the Clear Lake Cardinals, 25-8, 25-23, 25-18, in NCL I South action.
Jesse Sondag”s nine kills led Clear Lake.
Boys” soccer
Kelseyville 4, Middletown 1
At Kelseyville, the Kelseyville Knights secured second place in the NCL I North standings with a victory over the Middletown Mustangs.
Andres Macias scored twice and had an assist for Kelseyville. Eduardo Ledesma and David Koeppel also scored for the Knights.
Clear Lake 5, Upper Lake 0
At Lakeport, Jacob Cruz scored his 100th career goal, but the Upper Lake Cougars still fell to the Clear Lake Cardinals in NCL I South play.
Armando Martinez” two goals paced Clear Lake and Matt Stegman had two assists.
The Cardinals led 3-1 after the first half.
Girls” soccer
Middletown 3, Kelseyville 0
At Kelseyville, Kayla Welton”s early penalty kick, the first of her two goals on the day, led the Middletown Mustangs to a shutout victory over the Kelseyville Knights in NCL I North action.
Natalie Diaz had the other Middletown goal, which was assisted by Welton.
Clear Lake 9, Upper Lake 0
At Lakeport, Elena Tipton, Julie Jackson and Annie Gall each had two goals as the Clear Lake Cardinals blanked the Upper Lake Cougars in NCL I South play.
Jackson also had two assists as did Kaila Sterbank.
Clear Lake improved to 4-2-1 in the South standings with one league game remaining.
