SANTA ROSA — Lisa Copeland, a sophomore at Middletown High School, shot the low round, a 5-over-par 69 at Oakmont East Golf Course on Monday to win the Sonoma County League Championship in Santa Rosa.
The victory moves Copeland into the North Coast Section Girls” Cham-pionship next Monday at Tilden Park Golf Course in Berkeley.
Copeland”s 69 at Oakmont East was a shot better than Windsor golfer Meaghan Kari”s 70. Brook Dagner of Sonoma Valley came in third with 83.
The Windsor High School team advanced as a group to the NCS with a team score of 462, 43 shots better than runner-up Petaluma High School.
