KELSEYVILLE — Lake County Tribal Health dental director Scott C. Wheadon, 49, was arrested on charges Wednesday for illegally obtaining prescription medications for his personal use, according to a press release from the Lake County Narcotic Task Force (LCNTF).
Authorities found patient medical records, dental medications and prescriptions written to Wheadon, obtained illegally. Numerous firearms were also found at his Kelseyville according to the press release.
Following a July tip, LCNTF found that Wheadon had illegally procured prescription medications on many occasions in his 10 years as dental director. Some of the transactions were found through the California Department of Justice.
The arrest came after a four-month investigation by LCNTF, assisted by the California Highway Patrol, Lake County Sheriff”s Office and the Lakeport Police Department.
