UPPER LAKE — The driver of a minivan suffered minor injuries after the van rolled Friday afternoon and landed on its roof, blocking the northbound lane of Highway 29.
California Highway Patrol officer Craig Van Housen was at the scene before 1 p.m. He confirmed that Lakeport resident, Shannon Theresa Lynch, 33, was driving a blue Ford Aerostar south on Highway 29 when she let the van drift off of the roadway into a dirt shoulder. “She over-corrected trying to get back onto the roadway, lost control and rolled over,” Van Housen said.
Northshore Fire personnel were on scene and cleaned Lynch”s cuts from broken glass. Lynch was not transported for her injuries. “She (Lynch) was wearing her seatbelt, and that”s what saved her,” Van Housen said. Passenger Lynne Quartarolo, 61, was not reported injured.
