KELSEYVILLE — St. Vincent won the first two games but had to go the full five to beat the Kelseyville Knights, 25-19, 27-25, 19-25, 29-31, 15-10, in a North Central League I interlock varsity volleyball match on Thursday evening in Kelseyville.

It was the season finale for two teams that finished second in their respective divisions of the NCL I ? Kelseyville in the North and St.Vincent in the South.

“I”m glad it”s over, it was kind of exhausting,” Kelseyville coach Deanna Goff said of her first season. “It”s a big step up from the JVs.”

The match marked the career finale for seniors Casey Bowlin, Kristina Swenston and Jodi Snider. Bowlin had 30 digs, 14 kills, 13 points and eight aces; Swenston added 21 digs, 17 points and 47 assists; and Snider had eight points, two aces, 36 digs, two kills and two blocks.

Kaitlynn Goff, a junior, led the Knights with 22 kills and 31 digs.

“Second place is not bad for this team and for me,” Goff said.

The Knights close out the season 14-15 overall.
