LAKEPORT — Watershed Books, located at 305 N. Main Street in Lakeport, will be hosting author Kate Dougias, 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16. Douglas will be talking about her creative process and in particular her path to publication.
Douglas is a sucker for happy endings, but this romance author never makes it easy for her characters to find their own personal paradise. Douglas found hers in the mountains of Northern California, where she and her husband of more than 30 years live amid the pines of Cobb Mountain right here in Lake County. “Dabba” to her grandchildren, Douglas is enjoying more time devoted to writing since her husband now retired has more time to help with the dishes.
Douglas says that the most repeated comment upon meeting people and saying she”s a multi-published author is, “You don”t look like you write erotica!” Go figure.
Angela Knight of USA Today writes, “Kate Douglas writes some of the most deliciously erotic love scenes I”ve ever read. But even as she explores the hot edge of passion, her writing is beautiful, her characters well-drawn, and her storylines lushly romantic. She definitely deserves a spot on anyone”s keeper shelf.”
Please join us at Watershed Books and meet Kate Douglas. Good conversation and delicious refreshments will be served.
