Vandals caused approximately $1,400 in damage at the Hot Spot youth center on Golf Avenue in Clearlake over the weekend. Center director Joan Moore reported that several windows were maliciously broken between 4:30 and 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 18. She added that it may have been the work of a local gang of youngsters who have been tagging the building recently with the letters “SNZ.” Anyone with information regarding the vandalism of the youth center is encouraged to call the Clearlake Police Department at 994-8251. Donations to help with the repairs may be sent to Lake County Community Action Agency, PO Box 969, Clearlake, CA 95422; memo line should note “For repairs of the youth center.”
