Christmas is a coming and so is the Clear Lake Chamber of Commerce”s annual Christmas parade. There is still time to get your entry in and add to this magical event.

The parade will be held Saturday, Dec. 1. Staging will begin at Thompson Harbor at Redbud Park at 5 p.m. The procession heads down Lakeshore Drive en route to Austin Park at 6 p.m. Entry fee, which covers the cost of awards, is $10. Entry deadline is Nov. 30.

This year”s theme is “A White Christmas.” Chamber Executive Director Bob Aguirre reported that entries are low and encourages anyone interested in sharing their spirit of the season to come down to the chamber office on Golf Avenue in Clearlake and sign-up for the parade.

Immediately following the parade there will be a tree lighting ceremony at Austin Park where the Lakeshore Lions Club will be serving up delicious hot chocolate. Santa Claus is also expected and will be available for pictures with the children.

For more information call the chamber office at 994-3600 or stop by before 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, and get your entry in.
