MIDDLETOWN — The intimidation factor worked against the Middletown Mustangs on Tuesday night in a 65-35 loss to Piedmont in a non-league junior varsity boys” basketball game at Middletown High School.
“We came out a little nervous,” Middletown coach James Seymour said. “They”re solid physically and fundamentally, just a better team than us,” Seymour added of the visiting Highlanders.
The Mustangs settled down in the second half, outscoring Piedmont 16-11 in the third quarter.
Ryan Johnson led Middletown with 13 points and Jereomy Hoefer added six.
The Mustangs are 3-2.
