LAKE COUNTY? Good cheer graced the less fortunate citizens of Lake County Wednesday, when caring neighbors gave generously to the Lake County Christmas Fund. The holidays can be a sad time for some, especially those who barely scrape by in the course of the rest of the year. At press time Wednesday, the following contributions were received:

Thanks to the generous donations, many families in need will not feel the sting of being hungry over the holidays.
A total of 1,200 holiday baskets will be distributed as a result of community spirit and collaborative efforts of the great people of Lake County.
Those wishing to donate, should visit any branch of Umpqua and Westamerica banks.
Checks should be made payable to the Lake County Christmas Fund, and donations can be made in memory of loved ones.
All contributions will be published by Lake County Publishing.
