What has Supervisor Farrington done for District 4?
For months I have been hearing about the Board of Supervisors position being vacated by retiring Ed Robey, so much so that until last week”s paper informed me otherwise, I thought it was the only position up for election. I was surprised, and frankly, very disappointed that there seemed to be very little interest in the other two district”s re-elections. Living in North Lakeport, I ask myself what has my supervisor done to improve the quality of life for me and my neighbors?
Mr. Farrington, what have you done so I can feel safe letting my wife and children go out at night?
Mr. Farrington, what have you done to increase the number of jobs available to my neighbors and, in the future, my children?
Mr. Farrington, what have you done to abate the rampant crime and drug problems in our communities?
Mr. Farrington, what have you done to decrease the vast amounts of blight throughout the county?
Mr. Farrington, what have you done?
Granted, I have only lived here a few short years, and perhaps Mr. Farrington”s early years as a supervisor were more productive, but I have seen little substantial progress in District 4. I know that these are difficult problems and are not easily solved, but I would like to know that those in a position to produce the most good are at least trying. Is there not anyone else willing to better our community, or must I run myself?
