KELSEYVILLE — Scottish folk singer and songwriter, Jim Malcolm, performs in concert as a benefit for Lake County Community Radio, KPFZ; Saturday, Feb. 2, at the Saw Shop Bistro in Kelseyville.

Malcolm is one of the best up-and-coming Scottish singers today. Malcolm sings songs steeped in Scottish history and tradition. One of his most recent CDs, “Tam O”Shanter & Other Tales,” contains all songs by the famous Scottish poet and writer Robert Burns. Malcolm”s most recent release, “Acquaintance,” also contains some Burns tunes as well as songs written by Malcolm.

The last time Malcolm was in Lake County the concert was filled to capacity so advance tickets are recommended. Partial proceeds will go to KPFZ, which will be transmitting from Mt. Konocti when it goes back on the air full-power in early spring.

The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $20. The Saw Shop Bistro is located at 3825 Main St. in Kelseyville. Call 262-0525 for information. Tickets are also available from the Lake County Arts Council, 325 N. Main St. in Lakeport.
