Lake County Fire Protection District board of directors recently provided an update on the status of Fire Chief Jim McMurray. McMurray was hospitalized on Christmas Day for complications from pneumonia.

According to the release, McMurray has been transferred from Sutter Hospital in Santa Rosa, where he spent two weeks in ICU, to Kentfield Rehabilitation Facility in Marin County. McMurray”s rehabilitation is expected to take four to six weeks.

The board reported that McMurray would appreciate hearing from his friends. Cards and letters may be sent to the facility at 1125 Sir Francis Drake Blvd., Kentfield, CA 94904-1455.

Assistant Fire Chief Bud Moore has taken on the responsibility of day-to-day operations of the district during McMurray”s recovery.
