LOWER LAKE — The new comedy, “Incorruptible,” is in full rehearsals and scheduled to open Friday, Feb. 8, in Weaver Auditorium at the Historic Schoolhouse Museum in Lower Lake.
The buzz on this play (with the very strange title) is that it will be as hilarious to audiences as it already is to the performers.
The cast of eight includes four monks whose grasp on morality is definitely in question. Then there is a one-eyed juggling minstrel (who can”t juggle), an Abbess whose main source of pleasure seems to be torturing her brother and …oh yes ? a romance between two sweet young things who both think the other is dead! Ah, romance! Finally, there is the heroine”s mother, definitely not a romance enhancer. Together, these bizarre characters produce a medieval stew that is irresistably funny. Don”t miss it!
