LOWER LAKE — In a North Central League I North junior varsity girls” basketball showdown, the Kelseyville Knights avenged their only league loss to date with a 49-42 victory over the Lower Lake Trojans on Tuesday night at Lower Lake.
As a result both teams find themselves tied atop the North standings at 5-1, each with two league games remaining.
Liz Berry”s 13 points, including a 3-pointer, and three assists paced the Knights. Kendra Schwegerl added 11 points and 11 rebounds, Chelsea DeJohn had 10 points and four rebounds, and Ty Van Housen added nine points and six rebounds.
“Everyone pitched in, everyone did a great job,” Kelseyville coach Deanna Goff said.
Katrina Galindo”s 14 points paced the Trojans.
Kelseyville hosts Middletown on Friday at 6 p.m. Lower Lake visits Willits at 6 p.m.
