KELSEYVILLE — First-year coach Caitlin Andrus is a quick learner. Although the Kelseyville Knights didn”t play their “A” game on Wednesday night against the Clear Lake Cardinals, they did win, something Andrus was quick to acknowledge.

“It wasn”t a pretty game,” Andrus said of the Knights” 54-32 victory in a North Central League I interlock varsity girls” basketball game at Kelseyville High School. “We did a lot of good things but a lot of the time we were sloppy.

“But we came out with a win,” Andrus said. “That”s what counts.”

Kelseyville improved to 16-8 with its victory, one that featured a 20-point second quarter that pretty much put the game out of reach of the Cardinals (4-18).

Jodi Snider”s 13 points seven rebounds and four steals paced Kelseyville, currently third in the NCL I North standings. Allyson Brown added nine points and five assists while Amanda Mueller had six points and seven rebounds.

Kaila Sterbank”s nine points paced the Cardinals.
