UPDATED:

When I first moved to the Clearlake Riviera some of the things that made this area nice to move to were: a 24/7 security patrol, a swimming pool, a golf course and a boat launch with a pier. What”s left of those things that belonged to our Association? Zip. Nada Zilch.

After I received a letter from the association that the security patrol was being stopped, I wrote a letter asking the Association what happened, and their answer was there was a 100 percent vote to stop the patrol. I sent another letter asking just who voted because I sure never saw anything to vote on. The Association just plain ignored me. I later found out it was a 100 percent vote by the association”s board only.

The homeowners were never given the option of voting on that very important item.

That same board voted away the boat launch and pier, the golf course and the swimming pool. The Board of our Association, in my opinion, need to be recalled at the very least. They seem to think we, the homeowners, don”t need to be included in the association decisions.

Whatever gives the Association”s Board the right to ignore the homeowners in it”s decision making process needs to be taken away because I believe it ? the Board ? has made too many mistakes and have not made decisions that benefit the Rivieras homeowners.

In the last letter to the Record-Bee about our Association, it was mentioned that the board went into “Executive Session” thereby excluding the homeowners. Why in the heck does the Association Board need an Executive Session? The business they conduct should be out in the open ? period.
