KELSEYVILLE — Four Clear Lake High School players scored in double figures, a season first, and the Cardinals overwhelmed the Kelseyville Knights 73-41 in a North Central League I interlock junior varsity boys” basketball game on Wednesday night in Kelseyville.
“Since we started the second half of the season, I don”t know what they”ve figured out on their own but they”re playing good team basketball,” Clear Lake coach Chris Fisher said. “We shot the ball well again and we”re playing great defense.”
All 10 players on the Clear Lake roster scored for the second game in a row. Jared Ashworth led the double-digit scoring parade with 15 points, Stephen Weisfield added 12 points and seven rebounds, Seth Glazier had 11 points and seven rebounds, and Bryan Edwards finished with 10 points.
Michael Davis led Kelseyville with 17 points.
Clear Lake is 18-4 on the season and can reach the 20-victory plateau by winning its final two games. The Cardinals are home tonight against Upper Lake (5 p.m. tip-off) and on the road Tuesday for their season finale against St. Helena at 5:30 p.m.
Kelseyville returns to action today in Middletown at 6 p.m.
