LAKE COUNTY — More than 20 Lake County wineries will participate in the second annual Wine & Chocolate fundraising event, noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16. The activity will take place in an expanded venue at the same location as last year”s highly successful affair, Mt. Konocti Growers, 2550 Big Valley Road between Lakeport and Kelseyville. Proceeds will support the domestic violence shelter project of the Lake Family Resource Center.
Tickets are now available and may be purchased for $25 per person in advance from the participating wineries, the Lake FRC office in Lakeport, the Lakeport Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Saw Shop Gallery Bistro in Kelseyville, and from the Kathy Fowler Dealerships. Tickets may be purchased on the day of the event for $30 each.
The event will feature Lake County wineries pouring wines that have been masterfully paired with gourmet chocolates by sommelier Stephanie Green. Selected wines from these wineries will also be available for purchase, with the proceeds benefiting the LFRC project.
Special activities presented during the afternoon will include a display of antique cars, a silent auction with wine, dining, travel and art packages, and demonstrations of wine and food pairing and wine sensory evaluation.
Live music from the duo of Austin and Owens will entertain while guests enjoy sampling the fine wines and chocolates. A Wine Country box lunch will be available for purchase for $8.
More information about Wine & Chocolate, ticket purchases, and sponsorships may be obtained from the Lake Family Resource Center, 262-1611.
