A traffic accident on Highway 29 resulted in one death at 9:50 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15.
A woman, 76, driving a 2004 blue Ford Focus drifted into the northbound traffic lanes for unknown reasons, which consequently resulted in her death, according to a California Highway Patrol press release.
A man, 85, driving a white 2005 Chevrolet Impala was struck by the Focus and sustained major injuries and was transported by air ambulance to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.
Neither party was identified as of press time, pending notification of family members.
Both parties were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.
